Requirements

Adding the Parent Node

  • Turn on your node and watch for a solid purple light to appear.
  • Open the Linksys app and select Set up a New Wi-Fi Network once the node’s light is solid purple.
  • Select Whole Home Mesh WiFi (Linksys WHW0103 Velop Setup).
  • Activate Bluetooth® if asked to do so.

NOTE: If you’d rather set up your node using WiFi rather than Bluetooth, click here to do so. You must connect your mobile device to the node’s bottom-located default WiFi name and password.

Connecting Node to the Linksys Account

NOTE: To change the name of your node, select Name it something else and type in your chosen name.

  • Success! You’ve configured the node. Click Next.

Connecting a Child Node

  • Tap on Add a Node if you want to add another node. Tap That’s it for now. More nodes can always be added later.
  • Overnight, the node will automatically get updates. To improve your WiFi, the node has the ability to notify Linksys of crashes. To proceed, tap Next.
